Cruise Dining and Activities

Traditional cruise dining consists of 4 or more people sitting at the same table throughout the cruise. With eight people, no one gets bored and the conversation stays lively.  Usually 5 or more courses are included in a traditional cruise ship meal.  Special food requests should be made to the chef the day before it is desired.  For a formal night, the preferred dress code should be observed.  If you prefer more casual dressing, choose one of the less formal dining areas on the ship.  If none of the ship’s dining areas appeal to you, room service can always be utilized.

Most cruise ships distribute daily bulletins listing activities for the day and their hours.  Some ships offer almost no activities for customers who make their own activity plans. Other ships have as many as 50 activities to choose from. Gyms, lectures, classes, weight lifting, movies, television, swimming, and history and culture classes are some of the hundreds of activities offered on cruises.  It may help to make your own time schedule for your daily activities.
